A hidden gem in Palm Beach

The Citrus Cottage is 3 resort style villas (the Tangerine Dream, Blue Pineapple, and the Lemon Lounge) located in gorgeous West Palm Beach, Florida. It has been a dream of mine to book a stay at this hidden gem since 2020 and I am so excited to share all of the details that made this tropical getaway at The Tangerine Dream a memorable experience!
On arrival at The Tangerine Dream, you are welcomed with a pink-colored gate that upon entry transports you to what feels like a private villa in the Caribbean.
An Orange Smeg refrigerator, a kitchen decked out in tangerine wallpaper, and palm leaf printed throw pillows all add to the secluded villa in the tropics feel.
What To Expect
When designing this three-unit villa, the host literally thought of everything! Whether it’s the welcome basket filled to the brim with special goodies, a guest book filled with the memories of those who stayed before you, or the adorable ice cream bowls in the kitchen, these special details add a personalized touch to your stay at the Tangerine Dream (see reel here).
In addition, the host includes a “Welcome Binder” intentionally curated to showcase the exquisite local dining, shopping, and historic landmarks nearby.
What makes Palm Beach a hotspot for travel is of course our beautiful weather year long and the Tangerine Dream has all you need to enjoy the South Florida Sunshine at all hours of the day. Shared between the Tangerine Dream and the Lemon Lounge there are strings of fairy lights, a fire-pit and four lounge chairs. This area is perfect for enjoying chai tea in the morning (my personal favorite) or a glass of wine in the evening with your guests! Or, if indoor activities are more your thing, feel free to start a friendly game of Monopoly! I cannot say it enough! The Tangerine Dream has literally thought of everything to make your stay a well, dream! See what I did there? 😉
Fun In The Sun
When it comes to booking an Airbnb, having a pool is an added plus in my opinion and is a big factor when planning my vacation! The pool at The Citrus Cottage is shared between the three-units but spacious enough to still give you that secluded villa in the Caribbean feels. Are you sensing a theme here? The beautiful lounge chairs and umbrellas give you the comfort to relax and enjoy some fun in the sun!
One major plus of The Tangerine Dream is its location! Located just minutes by car from downtown West Palm Beach, The Square (check out my Fransgiving post for more information on what The Square has to offer), and Worth Avenue, there’s plenty to do during your stay.

Now, it wouldn’t be a SouthFloWithFran Blog if I didn’t share some foodie recommendations with you! If you are looking for a quick and delicious breakfast check out Loic Bakery, Pura Vida, and the Salty Donut! In addition, there are local Farmer's Markets and social gatherings hosted by The Square which are in close proximity to your villa.
