Kixi Cafe is the new breakfast and brunch boutique spot located in the Royal Palm Plaza outside of Mizner Blvd, Boca Raton, and opens as early as 8am Tuesday-Sunday. The cafe is known for its coffee shop feel and champagne bar with a variety of colorful milk teas and lattes with cute touches to each presentation.
As soon as you walk in, their floral wall is definitely eye-catching and very unique to the Boca area! Each area of the cafe is decorated with spring-inspired colors, plants, and bright neon lights throughout the cafe! It’s a fun space and you’ll be having a great time and sure to lose track of time. Call up your girlfriends and head to Kixi for the perfect breakfast/brunch date!
In my honest opinion, Kixi Cafe and I have a love/dislike relationship when it comes to certain details. So here we go. Friend, stay with me, I promise it will be worth it! They are new to the Boca Raton community and have been open for around 3 months so I will give them that, they are still establishing their roots.
Number #1 to keep in mind is that it is a smaller size cafe and doesn’t take reservations. AHHHH, my pet peeve LOL.
Number 2# on the weekends, it is very busy so I highly recommend going during the week or coming very early in the morning if you want a nice table and avoid waiting 20-30 mins for a table.
Number #3 The service could also use some improvement, you can tell they take their time and they even mention that certain items on the menu can take a little longer than expected so your food might not come out all at the same time.
Number 4# I love a boujee brunch don’t get me wrong but some of the food items are very overpriced. It is East Boca so I guess I can’t expect anything else. Rant over, now let’s talk about what I love about Kixi.
Let me play you a scene of what I want your experience at Kixi Cafe to look like. You call ahead and the hostess tells you it’s the perfect time to head over as it’s not too busy yet. There is no valet or parking garage so no having to pay for parking #win in my opinion!
You walk in and you instantly ask to get one of two tabless against the beautiful pink flower wall and sit on the cozy purple velvet couch with your foodie bestie! You both are dressed super cute with pastel-colored dresses and order one of the sweet milk tea drinks to start while you review the menu. You take a few selfies and snap those #instaworthy pictures for your feed!
Your friends start to DM you “Omg where this is? I must go” Then, you order the Signature Biscoff Hot Cakes because you’ve seen them all over IG and drooling over the idea of tasting those fluffy Japanese-inspired pancakes with cookie crumbles, yum! Your friend orders the Churros French Toast because who doesn’t love a good French toast, hello?! You have the best service and your server is attendant and you’re stuffed in a good way! The end!
I can’t forget to mention that they have an intimate covered patio garden where you can sit as well if you prefer sitting outside or it’s too busy inside! The tables have the quote “if you were a fruit, you would be a fineapple” How stinking cute! Any finapples out there?! Another place I would compare this to is Little Hen restaurant for breakfast/brunch in Miami or Loic Bakery in Palm Beach, so if you love the concept, you’ll love Kixi.
