Are you looking for something fun to do during a pandemic?
Miami Selfie Museum newly opened in July in the center of Wynwood, Miami with the intention to create a space to take the best #selfies and #instaworthy pics. I encourage you to grab your girlfriends, your camera, and make a day trip out to Wynwood!
Side note, if you don’t like taking pictures this museum might not be the best place for you. If you’ve been to Wynwood before, you know, it’s known for its artsy walls and talented artwork. If you are an influencer, blogger, digital creator, or just love taking pictures you will be amazed and have tons of new content to post & share!
Tickets can be reserved online here:
Ages 0-4: Free
Ages 5-12: $22
Adults weekday: $29
Adults weekend: $34
Some things to keep in mind, masks are required and must be worn throughout the museum to ensure the safety of all guests but you do not have to wear your masks while you snap selfies.
It is a family-friendly destination and the time limit is one hour from your reservation time. For example, if you book for 12pm you have one hour to enjoy the museum till 1pm! Also, for all the dog lovers, they are pet-friendly Monday-Thursday.
One of the perks, compared to most museums is that since it is a studio room environment with many small creative rooms and backdrops you can come back to each set-up as many times as you want!
I personally enjoyed this because in most museums I’ve been to you must keep going on to the next room without returning or going backward. Also, there is street parking that you pay using the Pay-by-phone app. Lastly, if you need to reschedule you can exchange your tickets for another day but there are no refunds!
Some of my favorite walls
- Donut Wall
- Bubble Bath Wall
- Flower Wall
- Kiwi Wall
- Banana Swing Wall
Feel free to bring multiple outfits if you desire as there is a bathroom you can use to change. The staff and museum encourage you to be as extra as possible and take as many photos! They will even take photos of you! Friends, this museum is not a sightsee museum so I hope you will be as creative as possible and have fun with your #selfies! That pose that you’ve always wanted to recreate? YES, this is the place you are welcome and encouraged to do so!
If you read my Candytopia blogpost you might remember my friend Missy who also went with me there! Isn’t she the cutest?! We always have such a fun time together! We went on a Saturday at noon and we brought two outfit changes!
Pro-tip: solid colors, neutrals, and jeans are best if want the walls to grab the attention than your outfit. Most backdrops have a ring light to provide you with the best lighting for your pictures! How awesome is that?!
