I've heard of Tanzy being one of the best brunch spots from a few friends who call it their favorite restaurant but I never actually tried it for myself. One spontaneous Sunday morning, my husband and I were planning on going to brunch with another couple but we couldn't decide where to go. Being spontaneous, I say that with a smile on my face because I normally do not just wake up and decide to go to brunch since I'm more of a planner type of girl. This time it felt nice to just wake up and let the day plan itself.

We decided to go to Tanzy and called ahead to find out if they were busy and lucky for us they were still taking walk-ins. Tanzy is located in the beautiful and well-known Mizner Park in Downtown Boca Raton. Not only is it a restaurant but it is connected to the iPic movie theater and if you haven't experienced it make sure to treat yourself and buy your tickets.

Once we got there, they had thermal scanners to test our temperature before entering in. We all made jokes about if one of us actually had a high temperature and could not come in, definitely reminded us that these are crazy times we are living in due to COVID. Not funny but funny at the same time? Does anyone agree? LOL!

We got seated at our table for four and began looking at the menu. The server was the sweetest soul and recommended some mouth watering options for us. My friend Kirstie mentioned to me that their French Toast was delicious and worth trying. One thing to know about me, I  absolutely LOVE French Toast, add some mixed berries and powdered sugar and I am one happy girl.

Also, look out for a blog post on the best French Toast in SouthFlo. So I had to taste it for myself. We began ordering our entrees when the server told me that she has only seen one person finish the French Toast because of how filling and big it is. The challenge was on and I was determined to eat the whole thing.

INFAMOUSLY DECADENT FRENCH TOAST: thick sliced brioche stuffed with whipped mascarpone & topped with farmers market berries. Once I got the french toast I still thought I could finish the whole plate. I've never tried stuffed french toast and it did not disappoint. The server won the challenge because halfway through eating I got so full and shared the rest.

My hubby got the Chicken & Waffles which is one of his favorite brunch options and Tanzy has now become his top choice when we want to go to brunch LOL!

The food was so good, I had to come back with a friend for Brunch, we went on a Saturday morning and actually got there pretty early at 11:30 am right when they opened, and happened to be the first ones there LOL! We both started with two white sangrias and they were so refreshing! I'm on a trend of ordering white sangrias when I'm in the mood for something instead of mimosas. We decided to share the famous French toast that I couldn't finish before and eggs benedict with crispy prosciutto.

Friends, I am not a fan of eggs benedict probably because I've heard of it served with smoked salmon or ham which didn't sound like something I would like. BUT this eggs benedict with crispy prosciutto had me craving more. This is a MUST to order. You won't regret it!

Again, the server was so hospitable and even overheard us talking about my recent birthday and he took my drink off the tab as a gift. WHAT?! WOW, I was literally in shock. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor covered patio seating, and unique details such as the gray charcoal matte plates that I secretly wanted to take home LOL Also, their decor and Avatar-like trees and all the greenery are something I love about the restaurant!
